In 2012, another mobile game came out, Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106, released by Tin Man Games. Zombies, a mobile game app, was released. There are also variations in which the player can compete against friends. It is a first-person shooter game, where the user takes control of Judge Dredd during a time when vampires have overrun Mega-City One. Death was released by Sierra Entertainment, for PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube. Completing the game unlocked the final cutscene where Dredd resolves the crisis. Live-action cutscenes were played at the conclusion to each stage. Dredd must save the mayor, who is being held hostage by a former judge. In 1998, Acclaim released Judge Dredd, an arcade rail-shooter game that used a Light Gun. A pinball machine was released by Bally, based on the same film. In 1995, Probe Software released a Judge Dredd video game based on the live-action film. Another side-view platform/shooting game, it received only average review scores. ฤก990 saw another 8-bit Judge Dredd game, developed by Random Access and published by Virgin Games. It was to be an Operation Wolf-style first-person shooter featuring Judge Anderson, judging by screenshots available in previews. The company went out of business before it was released. Later in 1987, UK publisher Piranha were to release Judge Death on the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64. In 1987, Beam Software developed the first Judge Dredd video game, published by Melbourne House in the UK. Several video games have been produced, based on Judge Dredd.
